"No Bread Tomorrow" by Mila Evanovich is a historical novel set in Serbia during World War II. It follows the lives of the Nikolić sisters as they navigate the chaos of the war and a brutal civil conflict while keeping a dangerous secret. Zora, a mother of seven and a healer, struggles to protect her family and navigate her strained marriage amidst the encroaching war.The novel explores themes of resilience, family, and the human spirit in the face of immense adversity.
